The Conférence Universitaire de Suisse Occidentale (CUSO) organises regular activities for members of participating universities. As lucky PhD student at the University of Geneva, I can attend these activities for free.
I chose to attend the Data Science for Software Development seminar. Tudor Girba introduced us into the principles of Moose and Pharo and their application for data analysis. He showed us how easily an analyser can be written to draw information from various parts of data. It was especially impressive how quickly it was possible to produce nice and appealing visualisations.
