At the end of the year some great news arrived. Even though oftentimes writing reviews is seen as a “necessary duty” of academic life, they are nonetheless important to make sure research quality remains at a high level. Additionally, reviews are an important source of feedback for research projects (even if the feedback is not as good as the authors might hope sometimes). I am happy that my reviews have been deemed helpful and I am proud (probably a little more than I should be) that my reviews for the SoSyM Journal have led to the 2020 Best Reviewer Award.
It’s little things like these, that keep me motivated :-)
